The story of Cocowai starts on a Himalayan mountain and ends in some of the UK's finest stores.

While living and working in Nepal, Frankie Macaulay helped her close friend Dilli start his own export business.

On her return to the UK in 1996 Frankie started Cocowai importing Cashmere with the help of Dilli.

She still works with Dilli and a small family-run factory, producing an ever increasing range of luxury hand woven cashmere shawls, knitwear and accessories in over 200 bespoke colours.

As well as having a passion for quality cashmere, Cocowai respects where it comes from. Fair and ethical trade supporting traditional craftsmen, is central to both our philosophy and our success.
